emagine Expands Digital Consulting Reach with Waada Acquisition
emagine Acquires Waada The Movement
In a significant move to enhance its capabilities in the digital consulting space, emagine has officially announced its agreement to acquire Waada The Movement, a consultancy firm based in the Netherlands. Founded in 2004, Waada specializes in business transformation, data engineering, and software development, making it a valuable addition to emagine’s robust service offerings.
The completion of this transaction is anticipated to bolster emagine's standing as a comprehensive consulting partner, particularly around high-impact digital transformation initiatives. Waada employs over 400 professionals, who partner with major enterprises to deliver transformative solutions that include artificial intelligence, data management, and advanced software development. The consultancy model of Waada uniquely unites strategic advisory with technical execution capabilities, further solidifying emagine's expertise in end-to-end digital enablement.
This acquisition aligns with emagine's growth strategy, which focuses on enhancing its ability to manage complex transformation and engineering programs. Waada is projected to contribute approximately €40 million in annual revenue, significantly scaling emagine's operations that already serve more than 500 enterprise clients globally and employ around 5,000 consultants across 13 countries.
Waada operates under two well-regarded brands: Prowareness and DevOn. Prowareness concentrates on fostering large-scale transformations within the largest organizations in the Netherlands, leveraging methodologies like Agile and Lean alongside its expertise in AI. Meanwhile, DevOn focuses on high-end digital engineering and software solutions with a distributed delivery model that aligns seamlessly with emagine's existing nearshore capabilities in markets such as Poland, Portugal, and Romania.
Anders Gratte, CEO of emagine, describes this acquisition as a pivotal step in the firm's journey toward growth. He emphasizes that Waada's high-caliber advisory services and specialized engineering skills directly meet the increasing expectations of clients undertaking complicated transformation projects in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. By enhancing its presence and delivery model, emagine aims to better assist clients earlier in their project lifecycles and maintain a strong partnership throughout execution, particularly as demand for digital solutions continues to rise.
Derk Zegers, Managing Director of Prowareness, and Rahul Sah, CEO of DevOn International, echo similar sentiments about the cultural and strategic alignment that will facilitate growth for both firms. They are optimistic that the joint partnership will create new possibilities for current clients and employees and ensure that Waada's successful principles and strengths are preserved.
Vikram Kapoor, CEO of Waada, reflects proudly on his 15-year journey leading the company to its current stature and expresses confidence that the partnership with emagine will enhance customer service and outcomes for employees alike. He underscores the combined strength of both firms, suggesting it will improve the 'bestshoring' experience—integrating high-quality services and outcomes to meet international market demands more effectively.
As emagine and Waada finalize this transition, more specific details regarding integration and operational changes will be released following the customary regulatory and employee notifications. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone not only for emagine's future but also for the broader consulting landscape as firms look for innovative approaches to digital transformation.
