The 63rd edition of the Miss International Beauty Pageant is set to take place on November 27, 2025, at the National Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo. This prestigious event, organized by the International Culture Association, will host representatives from a remarkable 80 countries and regions, all vying for the title of "Beauty and Peace Ambassador." Among the participants, three regions, Montenegro, Réunion, and the Turks and Caicos Islands, will make their debut this year.
Starting from November 12, the representatives will arrive in Japan for nearly two weeks of cultural exchange and social contribution activities. These initiatives, integral to the pageant's assessment, aim to highlight not just external beauty but also the kindness and intelligence that embody true inner beauty.
Promoting True Beauty Through Cultural Exchange and Social Contributions
Upon their arrival, the ambassadors will engage in diverse programs to explore Japanese culture and social issues. This year, host country representative Ai Nozaki will lead activities in her home prefecture of Yamanashi, where they will participate in historical and cultural exchanges. The itinerary also includes visits to Niigata and Fukushima Prefectures, focusing on regional culture and revitalization programs.
In Yamanashi, delegates will explore historically significant sites, including the Fuji Sengen Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage gem, and the elegant Saruhashi Bridge, which showcases Japan’s natural beauty. Visits to traditional sake breweries, such as Sasaki Sake Brewery and the next-gen energy PR facility at Yoneyama, will enhance their understanding of Japan's cultural heritage and environmental initiatives.
In Niigata, representatives will delve into Japan’s rich culture through visits to sake breweries and the Northern Culture Museum, fostering exchanges with local citizens. In Fukushima, after inspecting the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the ambassadors will participate in workshops about the advanced liquid processing system (ALPS) and investigate local restoration and reuse efforts. These interactions will serve as a platform for the ambassadors to share messages of hope and resilience from the international community.
A Diverse Lineup: From High School Students to Popular Models
The 2025 pageant features a dynamic array of contestants, including Japan’s Ai Nozaki, who is making her second bid for the title after previously serving as a regional ambassador. Notably, the 18-year-old Gledia Preka from Albania will participate as this year's youngest contestant, already making waves as a fashion model for major publications like Harper’s Bazaar. Bangladesh's Jessia Islam stands out not only for her impressive social media following of over 1.2 million but also for her proactive involvement in sustainable development goals (SDGs) initiatives.
All of these women share a common purpose: to connect the world through true beauty that transcends nationality and culture. Witnessing their radiant smiles is to see the embodiment of hope and unity.
2019 Japan Representative Tomomi Okada as MC
Former Miss International Japan 2019, Tomomi Okada, will serve as the event’s MC, continuing a family legacy initiated by her father, the late Masumi Okada, who hosted the pageant for over 20 years. Tomomi expressed her honor at taking part in this event, stating: "It is a profound moment for me to uphold a role my father cherished for many years and to welcome the beauty ambassadors representing approximately 80 countries to Japan."
On the day of the event, attendees will witness the crowning of a new Miss International, symbolizing the shared aspirations for world peace.
