Oceanids Exhibition: The World of Figure Sculptures
From January 3, 2026, the Ogimachi Museum Cube in Osaka will proudly host the third edition of the popular "Ogimachi Night Museum" series, featuring the stunning "Oceanids Figure Exhibition – The World of Three-Dimensional Sculpture". Operated by Theatre Workshop, this exhibition aims not only to showcase the breathtaking figures of Kaiyodo but also to celebrate the cultural richness of Osaka.
This unique exhibition features renowned Japanese figure manufacturer Kaiyodo, known for bringing various forms of art to life. With a mission encapsulated in its tagline, "There are as many creations as stars in the night sky," Kaiyodo has crafted intricate representations of anime and comic characters, historical figures, and mythical creatures, gaining recognition both domestically and internationally.
Visitors will have the chance to admire the impressive creations of top artists such as BOME, Shinobu Matsumura, Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, and Satoru Furuta. These creators have gained acclaim for their exceptional skills and innovative designs in the field of figure sculpture.
In addition to the exhibit, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in engaging workshops, including a "Painting Workshop" and a special session led by Satoru Furuta himself. Experience the joy of creating your own figures and discover what makes figure sculpting such a captivating art form.
