National Elementary School Programming Tournament Zero-One Grand Slam 2026

This year, the highly-anticipated National Elementary School Programming Tournament, Zero-One Grand Slam, will take place once again, organized by the Junior Programming Promotion Organization and supported by Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions. With over 6,000 elementary school participants since its inception, this competition has become one of the largest in the field of programming for young students. The fifth edition of this extraordinary event is set for 2026!
Overview of Zero-One Grand Slam 2026
The Zero-One Grand Slam is an inclusive, nationwide programming competition open to all elementary school students. The initial rounds, which include the WEB preliminary and the first round, will be conducted online, allowing students to test their programming skills numerous times as they prepare for the competition. Those who excel will transition to the next rounds, which will occur at physical venues, starting with robotics and visual programming contests. The finalists will ultimately compete in an exhilarating championship match.

- - WEB Preliminary: May 15 – June 14, 2026 (Online)
- - First Round: July 12, 2026 (Online)
- - Second Round: Tentatively set for late August 2026 (Real events at two locations in Kanto and Kansai)
