About Tohoku Farm

Established in 1917 as a thoroughbred breeding farm, Tohoku Farm has evolved since 1987 to embrace circular agriculture, utilizing manure from thoroughbreds to enrich the soil. Spanning approximately 100 hectares, around 10 hectares are dedicated to growing organic vegetables, herbs, and rice without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The farm also produces free-range eggs under the brand names Aotama and Akatama, cultivated with the same commitment to organic methods.

Throughout the seasons, around 100 different ingredients are sent directly to Hotel Continental Fuchu, including wild edible plants. Tohoku Farm aims to sustain its agricultural practices for another century, advocating for a sustainable farming model that harmonizes with nature.
