Farizon SV Proves Superior Range in Real-World Testing Under Extreme Conditions
As the demand for energy-efficient commercial vehicles continually rises, mere specifications on paper are no longer convincing to discerning users. Real-world testing, particularly under extreme conditions, is crucial for validating the authentic range of these vehicles. Recently, the Farizon SV underwent an extensive evaluation that included a grueling five-day test across diverse terrains in the UK and a high-altitude assessment along the Qinghai-Gansu route in China.
Rigorously Tested Across Different Conditions
The UK test was executed under harsh weather, grappling with low temperatures and persistent rain, while navigating European roads. In contrast, the high-altitude evaluation involved challenging elevation changes amidst extreme temperature fluctuations on the Qinghai Plateau. Remarkably, both examinations yielded a consistent conclusion: the Farizon SV vastly surpassed range expectations, satisfying the real-world needs of users in both regions.
EV Rally Achievement
During the GREENFLEET Explorer EV Rally, one of the world’s toughest electric vehicle range verification expeditions held from September 1 to 5, the Farizon SV undertook an 'impossible task.' The fleet of SV vehicles embarked from Newquay in Cornwall and traversed the scenic route through Devon, Somerset, Dorset, and Hampshire. The journey concluded in Knutsford, Cheshire, covering an astounding average distance of 1,043 miles (approximately 1,678 km) amid a complex mix of highway, urban, and rural driving conditions.
Notably, the two tested variants surpassed the officially certified WLTP figures for energy efficiency under real load, inclement weather, and assorted road conditions. The top L3H3 variant, equipped with a 106 kWh battery, achieved an efficiency of 2.402 miles/kWh, exceeding the WLTP by 9.7%. Even under heavy load—with three passengers and equipment—the Farizon SV adeptly navigated diverse terrain including highways, back roads, and city streets.
Calum James, CEO of Farizon Auto at Jameel Motors UK, emphasized that these real-world results demonstrate the effectiveness and dependability of the Farizon SV in genuine commercial operating scenarios.
Qinghai-Gansu Plateau Challenge
In parallel, another Farizon SV vehicle embarked on a rigorous endurance test along the geographically and climatically challenging Qinghai-Gansu route in China. This 462 km (287 miles) journey, which spanned 100 km of highway and over 300 km of rough state roads, posed significant challenges with a cumulative elevation gain of 1,500 meters and peak heights of 4,500 meters—all under low temperatures. Throughout this demanding test, the vehicle maintained its cabin temperature at a comfortable 26°C.
With full cargo, including three passengers and 368 kg of luggage, the Farizon SV showcased impressive range consistency. Remarkably, it achieved a range fulfillment rate of 82.5%, reinforcing its reputation for being both reliable and capable in adverse conditions.
| Vehicle Type | Recorded Range | Efficiency Achieved | Combined WLTP Efficiency | % Above/Below WLTP |
|---|
| ---- | ---- | ----- | ------ | ------ |
| L1H1 83kWh | 1,031 miles | 2.365 miles/kWh | 2.55 miles/kWh | 7.25% below |
| L2H2 83kWh | 1,093 miles | 2.335 miles/kWh | 2.30 miles/kWh | 1.52% above |
| L3H3 106kWh | 1,004 miles | 2.402 miles/kWh | 2.19 miles/kWh | 9.68% above |
Remarkable Innovations Behind the Farizon SV
The robust performance of the Farizon SV results from three pivotal technologies that afford it an unparalleled range. At its core, the vehicle features a 106 kWh CATL battery partnered with next-generation CTP-S technology, designed for extended mileage. The SV model also utilizes an ultra-lightbody architecture, contributing to a weight reduction of 13%—optimizing both performance and efficiency.
Whether navigating the damp, twisting roads of the British Isles or the thin, cold air of the Qinghai Plateau, the Farizon SV delivers a genuinely impressive range. This not only addresses range anxieties in the new energy commercial vehicle sector but also provides a more efficient, reliable, and trustworthy electrification solution for the global logistics industry. Ready to power any commercial journey ahead, the Farizon SV stands as a testament to the future of sustainable transportation.
