NEST EdLAB Launches New Initiative for Young Entrepreneurs
The Japanese government is pushing for a transformative enhancement in the startup ecosystem with the launch of the "Five-Year Startup Development Plan" in November 2022. This initiative, spearheaded by the Cabinet Secretariat, aims to develop a robust foundation for startups by boosting entrepreneurship education among junior and senior high school students. The Ministry of Education aims to foster a generation of young people who feel confident engaging in entrepreneurial activities and challenges through experience and interaction with real entrepreneurs.
However, the reality is that opportunities for youth to meet with entrepreneurs and engage in meaningful discussions remain limited. To address this gap, NEST EdLAB is launching the fully online short course titled "NEST LAB. Entrepreneurship Major 2025," starting in June 2025. This initiative utilizes the entrepreneurial network from its parent company, Livness, known for its extensive startup support, to make the program accessible to students nationwide.
The course will feature a variety of prominent entrepreneurs and executives as instructors, who will share their passion and skills. Throughout the program, students will engage in experiments and experiences that deepen their understanding, creating time for them to consider their connections to society.
Course Schedule
The courses will be held bi-weekly on Sundays, allowing students a consistent engagement with entrepreneurial content.
