Nasuni Strengthens Leadership Team

Nasuni, a leader in unstructured data management, recently announced the appointments of Jerry Carter as Chief Technology Officer and Ross Grainger as Chief Financial Officer. These strategic hires aim to propel the company's innovation, operational capabilities, and global expansion in an ever-evolving data landscape.

Aiming for Excellence

Sam King, CEO of Nasuni, expressed the importance of these roles as the company navigates new opportunities in leveraging unstructured data for artificial intelligence initiatives. "As the data landscape rapidly evolves, we are expanding our leadership team to better meet the changing data needs of our customers through bold innovation and unwavering excellence," he stated. Carter and Grainger bring exceptional leadership experience and industry knowledge, which are crucial for helping customers achieve their data and AI goals more confidently and quickly.

Introduction of Jerry Carter, CTO

Jerry Carter comes to Nasuni with extensive engineering leadership experience. His career began in open-source development and systems architecture, working in engineering roles with notable companies like VA Linux and Hewlett-Packard. At Anyway Software, he rose from engineer to CTO, guiding significant product changes that positioned the company for a successful acquisition by EMC. During his 13 years at Dell Technologies, Carter directed engineering for major product lines and instituted large-scale agile transformations while managing global teams, enhancing product quality and accelerating release cycles.

His experience in building scalable data management systems and applying AI to optimize product intelligence and engineering efficiency will be instrumental at Nasuni. Carter's focus on people-centered leadership and innovation aims to create high-performing teams that will advance Nasuni's technological vision and scale their platform for current AI and data challenges.

Ross Grainger, CFO, and His Financial Acumen

Ross Grainger, on the other hand, is a seasoned financial executive recognized for fostering growth in global B2B SaaS companies. After starting his career in public accounting at RSM, Grainger established a solid foundation for financial success. While at WebPT, he built the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team from the ground up, reducing controllable turnover through enhanced leadership analysis and overseeing multiple acquisitions.

Most recently, as CFO of Paradox, Grainger was pivotal in driving significant revenue growth over six years, which included global team expansion, five acquisitions, and the eventual sale of the company to Workday. In his new role at Nasuni, he will serve as a strategic partner to the management team, ensuring capital investment in suitable growth opportunities to scale the platform and support customer data intelligence and AI strategies.

Looking Forward

As organizations recognize the immense value unstructured data brings to their AI initiatives, Nasuni and its expanded leadership team are well-positioned to assist customers in achieving greater cost savings, safeguarding their data, optimizing performance, and preparing for scalability in AI.
