The Art of Sustainable Fashion: KNT365 Collaborates with Laura Avivar

KNT365 Collaborates with Artist Laura Avivar

On October 21, 2023, KNT365, a lifestyle brand committed to sustainability, will unveil a unique collaboration with Spanish illustrator Laura Avivar, renowned for her ability to fuse art with the beauty of everyday life. Known for creating pieces that celebrate simplicity and inspiration drawn from family, nature, and daily experiences in Japan, Avivar's works reflect a warm and joyous outlook.

KNT365, based in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo, was founded with a mission to create eco-friendly products that are gentle on both people and animals. They utilize recycled materials, mainly producing their goods in-house in Osaka using polyester fibers derived from recycled PET bottles, showcasing their commitment to sustainable craftsmanship.

The collaboration's theme revolves around traditional Japanese elements, featuring illustrations inspired by matcha, coffee, and tempura, presented through KNT365's signature styles 'Knitty' and 'Mam'. Each design represents a harmonious blend of cultural richness and contemporary fashion.

Knitty Artist Edition – Matcha and Coffee Themes

Matcha Design

The Knitty Artist Edition priced at 7,700 yen incorporates shades inspired by matcha, exhibiting a muted green base complemented by soft pink accents on the shoulder straps. The artwork includes not only illustrations of matcha but also integrates Kanji and English text, making it appealing to both locals and international visitors. The 'Knitty' bag is notably lightweight, weighing approximately the same as a banana at 94 grams, yet boasts a remarkable load-bearing capacity of up to 70 kg, suitable for A4 documents and laptops, which makes it perfect for both commuting and school activities.

Coffee Design

The second Knitty piece, focusing on coffee inspiration, contrasts the matcha tones with a rich, darker color palette. This design, featuring warm tones reminiscent of coffee beans and cups, creates a striking, minimalistic aesthetic that seamlessly blends into everyday scenarios, ensuring a fashionable yet subtle statement.

Mam Artist Edition – Tempura Theme

Additionally, the collaboration features the Mam Artist Edition priced at 8,250 yen, designed around the popular Japanese dish, tempura. Dressed in a soft pink base with muted green handles, this bag draws attention with its playful yet refined presentation. Its illustrations, depicting soba and tempura, captivate the viewer's imagination and evoke a hunger for these traditional treats. The design artfully includes a bracelet motif that reflects one of the themes central to The KNT365 House.

The Mam bag is spacious and lightweight, making it the ultimate companion for daily use, travels, or days when carrying extra items.
