HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series: Art Meets Technology at Venice Biennale
In an exciting display of innovation, HUAWEI has launched exclusive watch faces for its HUAWEI WATCH GT 6 Series at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale. This year's theme celebrates the merging of art and technology, running from May 10 to November 23, 2025. As a prominent partner of the China Pavilion, Huawei showcases how smart technology can coexist gracefully with architectural artistry.
Bridging Art and Technology
As the Chief Intelligence and Technology Partner for the China Pavilion, HUAWEI has intricately woven its state-of-the-art devices into the pavilion's design. Highlighting pivotal pieces like the HUAWEI Mate X6 and MatePad Pro models, the fair represents a significant leap in displaying China's architectural heritage in a modern context.
Exclusive Watch Faces Inspired by Exhibits
To celebrate this collaboration, HUAWEI introduced three unique watch faces, each inspired by the architectural works featured at the Biennale:
1. Dunhuang Con-stella-tion: This watch face is inspired by the installation by Atelier Alter Architects, reflecting the historical significance of Dunhuang on the Silk Road. The connection of various cultures through artistic methods illustrates the historical crossroads of civilizations, embodied in the design of the domes of Mogao Cave 285. An ethereal floating city, inspired by the architectural vision, celebrates the beauty of nebulae within modern iterations of historical narratives.
2. Vault of Heaven: Created by Wang Zigeng, this watch face reinterprets the traditional caisson ceiling using recycled materials, showcasing an innovative perspective on ancient architectural forms. With bamboo weaving elements, it not only honors cultural heritage but also visually narrates interconnected moments of life, reflecting China's profound natural philosophy. The design invokes the timeless pursuit of beauty and a better existence.
3. City in China - Nature of All Things: Designed by WAY studio, this watch face envisions a futuristic city where urban life and natural environments blend seamlessly. The focus on an advanced transportation architecture aims at lowering energy consumption, while symbolizing organic growth much like living organisms. This forward-looking concept explores the relationship between nature and urbanity, representing an ideal harmony between the two.
