LuminoCity Festival's Dino Safari Returns to Metro Atlanta
The
LuminoCity Festival, known for its enchanting light sculpture shows, is set to return to
Metro Atlanta from
March 13 to April 19, 2026. This marks the festival's third consecutive year in the area, bringing with it new attractions and vibrant activities designed for families.
Venue and Attractions
This year’s festival will once again take place at the
Mall of Georgia, specifically at
3333 Buford Dr, Buford, Ga. 30519. Visitors can enjoy
free parking, with designated spots located near Belk and Taco Mac. Tickets for this exciting event are already available for purchase online.
According to Xiaoyi Chen, founder of LuminoCity, the festival has established itself in Atlanta as a significant cultural event, showcasing the value of experiential family-friendly activities. "We look forward to creating new and wonderful memories for families across Georgia and the Southeast with our most spectacular 'LuminoCity Dino Safari' yet!" Chen expressed.
Dinosaur Experience
This year's highlights include an impressive collection of over
70 life-size animatronic dinosaurs, which will populate the venue under spectacular illuminated tunnels and stunning light sculptures. As families roam through this immersive prehistoric landscape, they can engage in various activities like
fossil digs, and leisurely rides on the
Dino Speedway cars. Adventurous spirits can bounce in six different inflatable attractions, including a towering
25-foot-high volcano.
For families needing a break, the festival also features a
Food and Relaxation Zone, where a variety of food trucks will offer delicious culinary delights, ensuring that everyone can refuel for another round of adventure.
Themed Events
Beyond the dinosaur displays, the festival is also hosting several themed events. These range from a lively
“Dino-Bash!” dance party to a Spring Break kick-off night called “Lumi and Me.” One of the fan-favorite events is the return of
“Dino Wranglers!” night, where guests can learn about the magnificent creatures in a more personal way. For those looking to bring a piece of the adventure home, there will be plenty of dino-themed toys, gifts, and souvenirs available at
Lumi's Gift Shop.
