ChangAn Automobile, a leader in low-carbon intelligent mobility, has made its official debut in the European market with the introduction of its flagship brands: CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR. The launch event, aptly named “Sharing the Future,” took place in Mainz, Germany, on March 21, 2025. This pivotal moment aligns with ChangAn's ambitious “Vast Ocean Plan,” underscoring the company’s commitment to technological innovation and sustainability.

In the heart of the European ecosystem, ChangAn is laying the groundwork for robust research, manufacturing, supply chain operations, and sales networks. A Grand Entry with Innovative Models


At the event, ChangAn showcased its latest electric vehicle models, including the DEEPAL S07, CHANG-AN E07, and DEEPAL S05. These vehicles incorporate cutting-edge technology in intelligence and electrification, positioning ChangAn to meet the growing demand for high-performance electric vehicles (EVs) in the European market.

Global Recognition and Technological Advancements


ChangAn’s technological prowess is globally acknowledged. The company boasts a collaborative R&D network spanning six countries and ten locations, featuring over 18,000 research and development personnel from 31 countries. With 16 centers dedicated to product technological R&D, 17 technology companies, and 180 laboratories (including national-level facilities), ChangAn is solidifying its status as a key player in the EV sector in Europe.

Focused Market Strategy


As part of its entry strategy into Europe, ChangAn will initially target key EV markets, such as Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. By 2028, the company plans to establish a market presence across all major European markets. Its headquarters in the Netherlands will serve as a pivotal hub for operations, with a sales office established in Munich, Germany. With approximately 500 experts across Europe, including skilled designers and engineers from Italy and the UK, ChangAn is committed to nurturing local talent to drive innovation and further market engagement.

Vision for Sustainable Mobility


Zhu Huarong, president of ChangAn Automobile, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “It’s great to be here in Germany. ChangAn is an open and collaborative company driven by a clear mission to lead sustainable mobility and bring benefits to people.” Zhu stated the company’s ambitious target of achieving three million global sales this year, including one million electrified vehicles. By 2030, ChangAn aims to deliver five million vehicles annually, with three million being electrified.
