NLT HEALTHCARE Showcases Revolutionary AI-Cervical Screening System in Johannesburg

NTL HEALTHCARE at WHX Johannesburg 2026

From October 6 to 8, 2026, NTL HEALTHCARE made a significant presence at WHX Johannesburg 2026, where it showcased its groundbreaking AI-driven cervical screening system, CerviCARE AI. This event was a pivotal step in accelerating the company's expansion within the African healthcare market. Attended by over 200 representatives from distributors, healthcare providers, and policymakers, the exhibition served as a forum for discussions on the adoption and continued integration of this innovative technology.

One of the primary goals of NTL HEALTHCARE at the exhibition was to establish strategies for local adoption of CerviCARE AI. Engaging directly with South African policymakers and academic experts, the company explored implementation procedures and potential collaborations. This groundwork is essential for facilitating the commercialization and localization of the product across South Africa.

Building on successful pilot projects in countries like Zambia, Uganda, and Tanzania, NTL HEALTHCARE aims to position South Africa as a strategic base for its expansion into neighboring nations and other African markets. Interestingly, during the exhibition, they also extended their supply chain by sending products to Zimbabwe, further indicating their commitment to regional growth.

NTL HEALTHCARE intends to leverage partnerships with global medical foundations and engage in Korea's Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP), a government initiative focused on promoting economic development through knowledge exchange. Their strategy includes developing healthcare collaboration models tailored to the specific needs of local communities and partnering with stakeholders on areas such as regulatory approvals, training, and operational planning.

The urgency for technologies like CerviCARE AI is underscored by the alarming rates of cervical cancer in Africa. According to the World Health Organization, cervical cancer remains the leading cause of cancer mortality among women in 26 African countries. The persistent inequality in access to vaccines, screenings, and treatments highlights the necessity for effective screening technologies, particularly in resource-limited settings.

CerviCARE AI is designed to analyze cervical images quickly, identifying potential lesions with remarkable efficiency. It delivers diagnostic results in less than five seconds without requiring an internet connection. Impressively, it demonstrates a sensitivity of 98% and a specificity of 95.5% when detecting high-risk lesions, according to a 2023 report by StandardBank and a 2024 study published in Scientific Reports by Ouh et al. Moreover, the system offers AI-assisted guidance to ensure that users, regardless of their skill level, can capture high-quality images consistently.

Tae-hee Kim, CEO of NTL HEALTHCARE, emphasized the importance of practical validation and policy backing to ensure that screening technologies gain traction in healthcare environments. During the exhibition, she discussed potential pathways for implementation and partnership opportunities with various South African stakeholders, drawing from the company’s extensive pilot experiences.

Since its establishment in 1996, NTL HEALTHCARE has delivered its CerviCARE AI system to over 20 countries. With its continued commitment to expand product distribution and collaborations across Africa, the company is poised to make a significant impact on the regional healthcare landscape, providing innovative solutions to improve cervical cancer screening and ultimately saving lives.
