Unito Launches Project to Promote Sustainable Consumption on Green Friday

Unito's Commitment to Sustainability: The GO GREEN Project

With the rise of sustainable consumption movements across Europe, Unito is taking bold steps to align with this change. On November 28, in response to the established tradition of Black Friday, which promotes mass consumption, Unito and 19 other sharing service providers are turning their logos green as part of the GO GREEN Project. The initiative aims to advocate for ethical and sustainable consumption within the hotel industry.

In an effort to raise awareness, Unito will leverage its official social media platforms, including X and Instagram, to promote eco-friendly choices. From November 25 to 30, Unito will engage in various promotional activities highlighting the importance of sustainable choices as consumers gear up for another shopping season.

Background on Green Friday

Green Friday, celebrated in various parts of Europe and the United States, encourages individuals to reconsider their consumption habits. Unlike Black Friday, which capitalizes on mass production and consumption, Green Friday aims to foster longer usage and appreciation of products, aligning perfectly with the goals of Unito and participating companies.

This initiative, now in its fourth year, is compounded by the unwavering support of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. By collaborating with the Sharing Economy Association, spearheaded by Aerocloset, the event has grown in both scale and impact since its inception.
