The Japan Management Association, headed by President Takaharu Gohuku and based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has announced the commencement of recruitment for its 17th term of the MOT (Management of Technology) Research Group. This session is aimed at individuals in technology and research development departments and will feature valuable practical case studies aimed at enhancing technological management strategies.

Overview of the 17th Term of the MOT Research Group


  • - Theme: Strategies for Research and Development in Commercialization and Revenue Generation
  • - Dates: July 18, 2025 (Friday) to November 12, 2025 (Wednesday) [5 sessions in total]
  • - Venue: Seminar room at the Osaka Science and Technology Center (1-8-4 Utsubohonmachi, Nishi-ku, Osaka) and others.
  • - Instructors:
- Coordinator for sessions 1 to 5: Hiroshi Harada, Professor, Kobe University Graduate School of Business Administration
- Special Lecture for Session 5: Mari Yoshida, Associate Professor, Kobe University Graduate School of Business Administration

  • - Company visit: Shimadzu Corporation (Naka-ku, Kyoto)

Target Audience


This program is primarily directed at managers and leaders in research and development, technology, and planning departments. The session is limited to 30 participants to ensure an effective learning environment.

Participation Fees (for the entire 5 sessions):


  • - Single Registration: 99,000 yen for members / 143,000 yen for non-members (tax included)
  • - Two Registrations: 165,000 yen for members / 209,000 yen for non-members (tax included)

Features and Approach of the Research Group


Participants will learn about technology management through various guest lectures and company visits, gaining a multi-faceted understanding of its principles and practices. Each session will end with a Q&A, discussions, and exchanges of opinions, all coordinated by the lead instructors. Networking opportunities will also be provided through social gatherings to foster relationships among participants. After the completion of all sessions, a collection of materials, including lecture notes, will be presented to participants.
