Perpetua Resources Reveals Significant Gold Discovery in Idaho's Stibnite Project

Major Discovery in Idaho: Perpetua Resources' Stibnite Gold Project

Perpetua Resources Corp. has made headlines with its recent announcement regarding significant advancements at its Stibnite Gold Project located in central Idaho. The company revealed important results from its 2026 Exploration Drilling Program, further solidifying its status in the mining sector. The project has proven to be a hotbed for gold and antimony, with new drilling results showing high grades and substantial mineralization across various zones.

Exploration Highlights

The 2026 Exploration Drilling Program, which covered more than 16,000 meters, aimed to enhance inferred resources within the permitted Yellow Pine open pit, extend known mineralization, and explore new areas based on last year's discoveries. Particularly noteworthy are findings from the Fiddle prospect and the Clark Tunnel Fault Zone (CTFZ).

Fiddle Prospect Results

The initial drill hole at the Fiddle prospect, designated SB633, cored through 109.7 meters, yielding an impressive grade of 3.2 g/t gold and 1.1% antimony. This represents one of the widest continuous intervals of mineralization found at Stibnite to date and exceeds the project’s average life-of-mine grades. Additionally, follow-up holes have confirmed further mineralization extending to the north.

Further assays from nearby holes, such as SB637, suggest that mineralization remains strong beyond the initial discovery point, highlighting the prospective nature of Fiddle’s geological corridor. Core logging has noted an abundance of stibnite and sulfide minerals in promising zones, indicating a robust mineralized structure.

Moreover, the follow-up drilling at the CTFZ has yielded equally promising results. For instance, hole SB606 indicated near-surface high-grade mineralization with 25.4 meters at 4.5 g/t gold at a depth of just 13 meters. Similarly, drill hole SB605 returned results of 25.0 meters at 2.3 g/t gold starting from 18 meters downhole. These findings not only enhance the project’s credibility but also have the potential to supplement the existing production profile significantly.

As Jon Cherry, the President and CEO of Perpetua Resources, expressed, “We are pleased with results indicating high-grade materials that can enhance resource definitions near our permitted areas. The initial hole at Fiddle confirms it as a viable target – enhancing our exploration strategy.
