SCOA Real Estate Partners Expands Team with Joe Wickenhauser's Appointment

SCOA Real Estate Partners Welcomes Joe Wickenhauser

SCOA Real Estate Partners (SREP), a division of the Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, is thrilled to announce that Joe Wickenhauser has joined its Industrial Investment team as an Associate. This strategic addition is expected to bolster the company’s capacity to expand its industrial investments across the United States.

With a robust background in real estate investment and asset management, Wickenhauser brings a wealth of experience to SREP. Before joining, he honed his expertise at MetLife Investment Management, where he was instrumental in managing nearly $3 billion in assets spanning multifamily, retail, office, and industrial properties. His strategic insights and operational knowledge will be invaluable to SREP as they pursue ambitious growth initiatives.

Before his career in real estate, Wickenhauser served in the U.S. Army, showcasing leadership and dedication, qualities that he carries into his professional endeavors. He also interned at Belay Investment Group, further solidifying his foundation in real estate investment.

Based in Atlanta, Wickenhauser earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Washington, equipping him with analytical skills that are essential in the fast-paced world of real estate investment.

Tyler Darden, Senior Vice President at SREP, expressed enthusiasm for Wickenhauser's arrival, stating, "We are excited to welcome Joe to SREP. His experience will contribute meaningfully to our team and accelerate the growth objectives that we have for the industrial platform."

SREP is no stranger to success in the industrial sector. Recently, the company celebrated the closing of two major industrial projects: a significant 81,120-square-foot build-to-suit warehouse located in Mooresville, North Carolina, fully leased to QA1, and the River Edge Business Center, which spans roughly 250,117 square feet of speculative industrial development in Fridley, Minnesota. These projects are indicative of SREP’s dedication to delivering high-quality developments that facilitate business operations and stimulate local economies.

Established in 2023, SREP combines the extensive real estate experience of SCOA, which has been adapting to market demands for over 40 years. The firm specializes in providing joint venture equity investments for the development of multifamily apartment communities, master-planned residential neighborhoods, and strategic industrial investments.

In a rapidly evolving real estate market, SREP aims to respond to the growing needs of both businesses and communities. With Wickenhauser on board, the team is well-positioned to pursue innovative projects and enhance its leadership in the industry.
