Collaboration for Child-Rearing Support in Kusatsu Town
On June 4, 2023, Pal System Gunma, headquartered in Takasaki City, entered into a collaboration agreement with Kusatsu Town, led by Mayor Miyazaki. The initiative focuses on promoting child-rearing support, ensuring a safe environment for families in the region. As part of this agreement, families who apply will receive a special gift box filled with child-rearing items called "Omedetou Bako."
The Omedetou Bako Delivery
This collaboration aims to create a supportive community for child-rearing. By utilizing the local network provided by the cooperative's delivery service, the initiative will effectively promote child-rearing support measures established by local government agencies in Gunma Prefecture. The signing ceremony took place at the Kusatsu Town Hall, where Mayor Miyazaki and Pal System Gunma's Chairperson, Makiko Ohira, emphasized the importance of strengthening their partnership.
Community Engagement through Information
According to the agreement, Kusatsu Town will distribute pamphlets about Omedetou Bako during health check-ups for four-month-old infants, informing parents of this opportunity. When families apply, Pal System will deliver essential items such as baby wipes, baby soap, and useful products for making baby food, including tuna flakes and soup packs, along with recipe books, directly to their homes without charge.
Personalized Delivery and Support Activities
The Omedetou Bako is personally delivered by Pal System representatives during their visits, ensuring that families receive hands-on assistance. During these visits, they will also provide information on parenting support networks and resources, fostering an environment of care and attention for families. By stepping into the role of delivering these essential items, Pal System is positioned as a crucial partner in nurturing families. This agreement marks the 14th partnership with municipalities aimed at enhancing child-rearing support across the region, reinforcing the collaborative approach to supporting families.
Rich Parenting Resources and Community Events
Pal System Gunma visits the Kusatsu area once a week for deliveries. They leverage their closely-knit infrastructure to provide various parenting resources including their original product series, "Yumyum Series." Additionally, they facilitate parenting-related events and manage a dedicated parenting site called “Kodomo 123,” which serves as an essential information hub. This site offers a wealth of recipes, parenting articles, and a consultation service for families in need, fostering community connections.
A Commitment to Future Child-Rearing Support
Moving forward, Pal System Gunma aims to actively disseminate essential parenting information and collaborate with various stakeholders, including local authorities, to create a community where child-raising is a worry-free experience.
