Sunseeker's Bold New Innovations for Smart Gardens Unveiled at IFA 2026

Sunseeker's Innovative Offerings at IFA 2026

During the prestigious IFA 2026 event in Berlin, Sunseeker, a global leader in smart lawn care solutions, showcased five new 2027 LiDAR products. These innovative designs mark a pivotal shift from merely robotic mowers to an integrated, intelligent ecosystem for garden management. This approach reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and sustainability in outdoor care.

The 2027 LiDAR Lineup

Sunseeker's LiDAR lineup for 2027 features groundbreaking advancements across all five models, which are equipped with LiDAR sensors designed for effortless operation. Notable models include the S7 LiDAR Ultra AWD 3000 and the S5 LiDAR Ultra Pro AWD 1800. These tools utilize 360° LiDAR technology, ensuring a seamless connection with the Smart Garden ecosystem and the revolutionary MapOS™. Moreover, the S3 model incorporates solid-state LiDAR technology for smaller garden applications.

These products deliver precise navigation and sensing capabilities in various gardening environments. Designed with ease of installation in mind, the products operate without antennas, offering centimeter-level navigation accuracy across gardens ranging from 500 to 3000 square meters. Beginning in February 2027, the S7 model is tailored for larger and more intricate lawns, featuring an Extension Hub that allows for the connection of various accessories—like the EdgeZero trimmer head—ensuring a consistent trimming experience from edge to edge.

Additionally, the S5 model introduces advanced intelligence for medium to large family gardens, while the S3 focuses on offering wireless precision for compact and sloped areas. With 360° obstacle recognition capabilities, Sunseeker’s sensing technology enhances the safety and reliability of robotic lawn mowing, minimizing the risk of collisions.

Introducing the Smart Garden Ecosystem

A highlight of Sunseeker's presentation was the introduction of its Smart Garden ecosystem, which combines various garden management tools to create a cohesive user experience. The ecosystem operates on principles of perception, comprehension, and recommendation, integrating robotic mowers with rain gauges, soil sensors (available in 2027), and future autonomous robots. This system continuously monitors environmental factors such as rainfall and soil health to build a real-time understanding of the garden.

Using onboard Vision AI and multi-modal sensor fusion, the Smart Garden transforms collected data into actionable insights. For instance, if yellowing grass is detected, the AI can assess whether it's due to drought conditions or pest issues and suggest appropriate actions like irrigation or pest control measures. Plans for future integrations with Smart Irrigation Control will allow for automated actions based on discovered insights, enhancing the user experience.

MapOS™: The First Industry 3D Semantic Map

Sunseeker's groundbreaking MapOS™ technology introduces the first semantic 3D map in the industry, which enables intuitive lawn management. By merging visual perception with semantic understanding, MapOS™ creates a digital representation of the garden complete with contextual insights. This intuitive visual aid allows users to customize their mowing layouts, identify no-go zones, and set precise mowing parameters straight from the map.

The combining of real scene visualization with intelligent analytics significantly reduces unnecessary remapping and manual intervention, resulting in a streamlined lawn care experience.

Expanding Global Reach and Partnerships

Sunseeker's success is highlighted by a remarkable threefold increase in revenue in 2026, achieved through a robust portfolio of 14 products across 40 countries. The company continues to develop its
