Event Overview

Participants can experience the exceptional taste of this rare underwater aged shochu at three distinct venues:
  • - Omusubi Jazz/Snack Kagurazaka
  • - Omusubi Shodo BAR Ginza
  • - Omusubi Theatre Bar Shimokitazawa
During this month-long event, guests will be able to enjoy a pairing set featuring both 'Mikoshirai Umi no Kokuin' and 'Mikoshirai no Tsuyu', allowing for a delightful comparison.

About the Featured Shochu

Mikoshirai Umi no Kokuin represents a remarkable process where local rice from Uto is transformed into a high-quality shochu that is submerged in the sea for nine months. This natural aging process, enhanced by the unique underwater environment, allows the shochu to develop a smooth and rich flavor profile. The gentle vibrations and sounds of the ocean are said to contribute to the shochu's exquisite taste and aroma, making it a truly distinctive experience.

As for 'Mikoshirai no Tsuyu', it is crafted from Uto rice grown in the fertile lands of Kumamoto’s southern plains. This quality shochu is distilled by the renowned Fukano Sake Brewery, ensuring the highest standards in its production.
