Sinch Appoints Jonas Dahlberg as Acting CEO to Drive Next Growth Phase
Sinch Appoints Jonas Dahlberg as Acting CEO
On June 8, 2026, Sinch AB (publ) announced the appointment of Jonas Dahlberg as acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a significant move in the company's ongoing transition in leadership. This follows the resignation of Laurinda Pang, who previously helmed the organization. Under her leadership, the company underwent considerable changes and saw transformational growth.
The decision for Dahlberg's appointment was made after thorough discussions among the Board of Directors, Laurinda Pang, and Jonas Dahlberg himself. The Board believes that having Dahlberg step in as acting CEO is a constructive direction for Sinch as it enters a new phase of execution and growth.
Erik Fröberg, Chairman of the Board, remarked on the strategic decision, stating, "Sinch has evolved over the past several years into a more profitable business, and now with an integrated customer offering, we are primed for further growth. This leadership transition is expected to not only uphold but also accelerate the momentum we've achieved. We have full confidence in both Laurinda and Jonas regarding our vision moving forward."
Dahlberg, who joined Sinch as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on April 1, 2025, has been actively involved in the strategic undertakings of the company. With a robust background as CEO of Transcom and executive roles at Sweco, he brings considerable experience in leading technology-driven organizations. His academic credentials include a Master of Science in Applied Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
In his response to the new role, Dahlberg expressed excitement about the opportunity. He stated, "Sinch has now positioned itself as a leading global cloud communications platform. I am eager to work alongside our talented teams to execute our strategic priorities, innovating and delivering significant value to our customers and shareholders in the evolving digital landscape of the AI economy."
Laurinda Pang, the former CEO, will ensure a smooth transition as she continues to support Sinch until a permanent successor is appointed, no later than December 31, 2026. Pang expressed her pride in the growth achieved during her tenure: "Together, as a team, we have transformed Sinch from a collection of standalone acquired companies into a more integrated and profitable organization. I have complete faith in Jonas to lead us into the future and commend the Board's decision to expedite the succession process as we embark on this next chapter."
As the company pivots towards a new direction, stakeholders are optimistic about the advancements that Dahlberg's leadership will foster. The Board's swift action underscores the commitment to ensuring continuity and momentum within the organization.
Through this change of leadership, Sinch seeks to solidify its role as a key player in the cloud communications market, capitalizing on new opportunities while reinforcing its existing business model. Stakeholders eagerly anticipate the next chapter of growth and innovation as Dahlberg steps into the acting CEO role, taking the organization into a promising future.
