In an exciting fusion of flavors and cultures, Tokyo-based KBT Kombucha and Sydney's renowned specialty coffee roaster, Single O, are joining forces to launch a one-of-a-kind kombucha. Highlighting the freshness of the Australian native herb, lemon myrtle, this collaboration promises to offer a refreshing new addition to the beverage landscape.

Starting September 12, 2025, this unique kombucha will be exclusively available at all Single O locations in Tokyo, before extending to KBT's online store and flagship store, KBT STAND in Ryogoku, from October 1 to November 30, 2025.

Distinct from 'kombucha tea', this plant-based drink is crafted from fermented tea, signaling a seismic shift towards gut health and the next generation of wellness drinks. Japan’s familiarity with kombucha dates back to the 1970s when it gained popularity as 'red tea fungus.' Kombucha is brewed using tea leaves, sugar, water, and a gelatinous culture known as SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast).
