The much-anticipated Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Fest 2025 is set to take place from October 24th to 26th. This year’s event promises excitement for fans of cosplay, with the participation of major players in the industry such as Dwango Co., the Toshima Ward Authorities, Sunshine City, Animate Co., and Hakosta. One of the highlight segments will be the 'Cosplayer Serious Shoot,' where attendees can look forward to engaging with popular cosplayers in a specialized shooting area.

The event has recently announced the participation of six esteemed cosplayers. On Saturday, October 25th, fans can meet and photograph:

Canon's 'Serious Shoot Area'

The “Serious Shoot Area,” powered by Canon Marketing Japan, offers a unique opportunity for fans and photography enthusiasts to experiment with the latest camera technology. Attendees will have access to various cameras and lenses, including the chance to capture three-dimensional VR photographs of participating cosplayers using Canon’s EOS VR SYSTEM. Note that prior registration with Canon ID is required for participation.

VR Photography Experience

For those curious about VR photography, this initiative is designed for complete newbies and seasoned photographers alike, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Renowned cosplay photographer Tatsuya Ida will supervise this segment and will present special lectures on both October 25th and 26th.
