The 2025 PEPSI® National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB) is set to make its triumphant return to Houston on Saturday, August 23, after an impactful 2024 anniversary edition. A press conference held on May 14 at NRG Stadium, led by Webber Marketing in partnership with the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority and Lone Star Sports Entertainment, unveiled the rich plans for this year's event.
The NBOTB embodies more than just a competition; it is a cultural phenomenon celebrating the musical talents of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Derek Webber, CEO of Webber Marketing and Executive Producer of the NBOTB, emphasizes that this event represents a vibrant legacy of tradition, talent, and cultural influence that HBCUs contribute nationwide.
This year, the lineup features an array of talented bands, including:
