EWTN Honors Doug Keck with the 2025 Mother Angelica Award

EWTN Global Catholic Network has announced that veteran broadcaster and media executive Doug Keck has been awarded the 2025 Mother Angelica Award, an esteemed accolade that honors individuals dedicated to the mission of evangelization. The award ceremony was broadcast globally on December 12, 2025, celebrating Keck's instrumental role within EWTN over nearly three decades.

Doug Keck began his career with EWTN in 1996 after a successful tenure in cable television. His previous work involved various major networks in New York City, where he was involved in launching notable channels. His affiliation with EWTN has led to the development of pivotal programs, including Life on the Rock, The Journey Home, and EWTN Bookmark. His contributions significantly propelled EWTN’s growth, turning it into the largest Catholic media entity serving millions worldwide.

In 2009, he rose to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, ultimately becoming EWTN's President and Chief Operating Officer in 2013. Under Keck's leadership, EWTN surged into new territories, expanding both its reach and the variety of content offered. Supported by various initiatives, the network now operates numerous channels and platforms, broadcasting 24/7 in multiple languages, making the Gospel accessible to a broader audience.

During the award presentation, EWTN Chairman Michael P. Warsaw commended Keck for his unwavering commitment to the network’s mission, emphasizing that he maintained a focus on truth and genuine Gospel outreach rather than appealing for higher ratings. Warsaw stated, “EWTN is undoubtedly in a better place today due to his contributions, which are in the spirit of Mother Angelica’s legacy.”

Reflecting on his unique journey, Keck remarked on how he was called by God to shift from secular media, which included controversial content, to serving the Church and facilitating the teachings of popes.
