Marco Me's New Freeze-Dried Miso Soup Innovations for 2026: A Flavorful Experience

Exciting Innovations in Freeze-Dried Miso Soup by Marco Me

This March, Marco Me Co., headquartered in Nagano, will unveil new combinations of its acclaimed freeze-dried miso soup in ten-serving formats. The new lineup includes four distinct variations: the "Deluxe Freeze-Dried Miso Soup Assortment," "Low-Sodium Assortment," "Seaweed and Black Nori Mix," and "Shijimi and Asari Clam Combo." Each variant promises to enhance the already thriving freeze-dried soup market, catering to the growing consumer appetite for convenient but flavorful meal options.

A Stronger Production System with New Factory

In a significant move, Kanesa Co., based in Aomori, launched its "Kanesa Granule Miso Factory" last September. This facility is the third production site following the establishment of the Bonshu and Paramisou factories, allowing the company to double its production capacity to one hundred million servings. Likewise, all Marco Me’s granule miso is now domestically produced at Kanesa, ensuring a robust production system.

The popularity of multi-serving freeze-dried miso packs is soaring. According to sales data, the share of packaging with ten or more servings jumped from 17.4% to 37.1% between 2019 and 2024, with projections suggesting this could hit 45% by 2030. Responding to this trend, Marco Me is reconfiguring its ten-serving miso soup packs with popular ingredients to create exciting new products.
