TERREPOWER Advances Electric Power Steering Portfolio with 60 New Applications and Innovations

TERREPOWER Expands Its Electric Power Steering Offerings

In a major announcement from its headquarters in Daphne, Alabama, TERREPOWER, previously known as BBB Industries, has unveiled a significant expansion of its electric power steering (EPS) portfolio. This move not only reinforces its position as a leader in the aftermarket parts industry but also introduces groundbreaking technology aimed at simplifying repair processes across North America.

A Comprehensive Expansion

The newly expanded EPS program will launch 60 additional applications covering vehicle models from 2013 to 2025. This expansion corresponds to an impressive total availability of over 257 SKU (Stock Keeping Units) for over 60 million vehicles currently operational in the market. Additionally, another 76 SKUs are slated for release by July, which will enhance coverage for an estimated 21 million more vehicles.

Tim Connolly, Senior Director of Product Management at TERREPOWER, highlighted that this innovation marks a significant change in repair environments, emphasizing "We are removing a major barrier to EPS service while providing a sustainable, high-quality alternative to original equipment replacement at a more economical price."

Why Technicians Prefer TERREPOWER’s EPS Solutions

As modern vehicles increasingly integrate EPS technology, the demand for reliable aftermarket solutions has skyrocketed. TERREPOWER's extensive offerings, available nationwide, are supported by strategic partnerships with retailers and distributors, ensuring widespread accessibility.

The benefits of the expanded EPS program include:
  • - Unmatched Availability: Over 257 SKUs ready for same-day pickup or delivery.
  • - Market-Leading Coverage: Applicable to more than 60 million currently operating vehicles.
  • - Premium Value: OE-level performance at a fraction of the dealer price.
  • - Confident Repairs: Comprehensive warranties and support nationwide.

Andrew Wilson, Product Manager for EPS at TERREPOWER, stated, “EPS is here to stay, and the industry is evolving rapidly. Currently, more than 50% of vehicles are equipped with EPS systems, and it's projected that by 2028, about 25% of steering repairs will involve EPS. TERREPOWER is ensuring that the aftermarket is ready.”

Addressing Misconceptions in the Market

Despite the rapid increase in EPS-equipped vehicles, many technicians are still leaning towards OEM or remanufactured parts due to persistent misconceptions regarding the availability of aftermarket alternatives. TERREPOWER is actively working to combat this issue by training shops and enhancing access to comprehensive EPS solutions that technicians need to keep customers satisfied and returning.

The addition of 60 new applications, improvements in sustainability practices, and the introduction of pioneering programmable technology are set to redefine what the aftermarket can deliver in advanced steering systems.
