MiTAC Computing Returns to OCP EMEA 2026 with Innovative Liquid-Cooled Servers

MiTAC Computing Shines at OCP EMEA 2026

MiTAC Computing Technology is back at the OCP EMEA Summit 2026, held from April 29 to 30 at the International Congress Center in Barcelona. This global provider of high-performance and energy-efficient server solutions is eager to showcase its latest innovations, including liquid-cooled servers inspired by Open Compute Project (OCP) designs and advancements in their OpenFW software.

Advancements in Cooling Technologies

MiTAC has enhanced its air-cooled (C2810Z5) and liquid-cooled (C2811Z5) rack offerings through its MR2200 HPC series. These racks encompass integration, validation, assembly, and delivery. The MiTAC C2810Z5, which was launched in 2025, offers a dual-node single-socket server powered by AMD EPYC™ 9005 processors. It supports flexible storage configurations with E3.S and U.2 NVMe while featuring an optimized thermal design, making it apt for microservices and cloud environments. On the other hand, the C2811Z5 server is a high-density liquid-cooled solution with nodes also powered by AMD EPYC™ 9005 processors and expandable DDR5 memory. This liquid cooling enhances energy efficiency while maintaining performance reliability during demanding workloads.

Open Source Software Integration

MiTAC's ecosystem is further bolstered through software integration, introducing Canonical Ubuntu 26.04 LTS into its AI hardware portfolio, which includes OCP design principle-based platforms. During this event, MiTAC will present live demonstrations of its latest open-source firmware solutions such as MiOPF (open-source BIOS based on EDK2) and MiOBMC built on OpenBMC distribution. Both are tailored for advanced IT environments and fully compatible with DMTF Redfish, ensuring flexible and scalable management of large AI clusters. These solutions provide open and transparent access to data center management, contributing to enhanced security and long-term sustainability, showcasing MiTAC's commitment to open hardware-software integration that supports greater flexibility and collaboration in modern data centers.

OCP-Inspired Platforms for Scalable Infrastructure

Among the highlights at the event will be the MiTAC Capri server and JBOD Lake Erie, both inspired by OCP and compliant with ORv3. These systems are designed for software-defined storage and cloud environments, providing modularity and flexibility for deployment in large-capacity data centers. Additionally, the MiTAC R2520G6, an enterprise server, boasts dual Intel® Xeon® 6 processors, up to 32 DDR5-6400 RDIMM modules, and NVMe U.2 scalable storage supporting up to 24 drives. Its modular OCP-style architecture enables flexibility and consistency in high-capacity environments, emphasizing MiTAC's dedication to meeting modern data center demands.
