glassybaby Launches New Store in Texas to Celebrate Hope and Healing this Holiday Season

glassybaby Expands to Texas: A Mission of Craftsmanship and Community Support

In an exciting move, glassybaby, the renowned art-glass votive brand, is set to open its first retail store outside of the Pacific Northwest. Located at NorthPark Center in Dallas, Texas, this new storefront will launch on November 29, 2024, coinciding with the bustling holiday shopping season. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the company, which has its roots in Seattle, where it was founded over 20 years ago by Lee Rhodes, a three-time lung cancer survivor.

Every glassybaby piece is handcrafted and unique, ranging from votives to drinkers and vases. Crafted in Seattle and Montana, these vibrant glassworks embody a spirit of hope, courage, and gratitude, resonating with many who seek meaningful gifts. According to the founder, each item is more than just a product; it represents a personal connection and carries a story. With over 400 color options, the latest collections, including a special holiday series, are designed to illuminate gatherings and create lasting memories.

In line with its mission-driven philosophy, glassybaby continues to give back to the community. Since its inception, the brand has generously donated more than $15 million to various charitable organizations focused on supporting people, animals, and the environment. In 2024, half of its charitable donations will benefit the B+ Foundation, which assists children and their families battling cancer. The NorthPark Center store will also contribute a portion of its sales to the Cancer Support Community North Texas, aiming to uplift individuals affected by cancer through support groups, counseling, and social events.

The glassybaby mission strongly emphasizes hope and healing. Rhodes started the brand during her own battle with cancer, inspired by the soothing glow of a candle in a glass piece. She aimed to spread that healing experience to others. Reflecting on this journey, she expressed excitement over the new store: “We are thrilled to be part of the Dallas community — and we're excited to launch just in time for the holiday season.” With glassybaby now projected to reach a $30 million brand valuation this year, showcasing a continuation of their impactful legacy, the Dallas location will join existing retail sites in Seattle, Bellevue, Lake Oswego, and Livingston.

This pop-up retail space, conveniently located on Level One near Nordstrom, represents the ever-growing glassybaby fan base in the region. The warm and colorful atmosphere, coupled with its mission to provide inspiration through handcrafted art, makes it a unique shopping experience.

As the store prepares for its grand opening, local supporters and new customers alike can look forward to an inviting environment that champions community spirit and fosters connections. With the holidays approaching, glassybaby provides the perfect opportunity to gift a piece that not only beautifies spaces but also contributes to meaningful causes, making this the perfect season to share joy and goodwill.

For those familiar with the brand, the expansion into Texas signifies more than just growth; it's a commitment to spreading their mission of hope and support to a broader audience, further solidifying glassybaby's status as a beloved artisan in the glassware industry.
