Exploring Creativity: Shinagawa Kids & Family Terrace 2025 Event

Shinagawa Kids & Family Terrace 2025 Event

The Shinagawa Season Terrace, located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, will host a unique family experience event called "Shinagawa Kids & Family Terrace 2025" on October 4th and 5th, 2025. This initiative aims to nurture children's creativity and discovery through playful activities while fostering local community engagement. The event is part of a broader area management program focused on enhancing the quality of the environment and the value of the community through the active participation of residents, business owners, and property owners.

With its rich green spaces, Shinagawa Season Terrace has been the venue for various events intended to create vibrancy in the urban environment. The area is poised for further development, especially with the upcoming opening of Newoman Takanawa, thus increasing the demand for creating new value within the Shinagawa Konan area.

Concept and Goals

The central theme of the event is "Play Leads to Learning: Spark Creativity Through Play," which encourages children to fully engage in physical activities and embrace new challenges in a natural setting. The goal is to stimulate their curiosity and uncover their talents, guiding them to grow into responsible adults for the future. Additionally, the event aims to provide opportunities for community members of all ages to interact and build relationships, thereby revitalizing the community as a whole.

This year’s theme is "Discover Your Unique Talents! Play to Find Your Best Smile!" Participants will be encouraged to pursue activities that excite them, leading to the discovery of their passions. These cherished experiences could eventually translate into future skills and expertise.

Main Activities to Unleash Curiosity and Talent

PLAY: Physical Engagement Through Play

  • - Parkour Tag: A thrilling twist on traditional tag, this activity introduces parkour elements, helping kids to navigate obstacles and challenge their physical limits. Through this experience, children gain confidence and a sense of achievement.
  • - Zorb Ball: Children can enjoy the exhilarating sensation of being inside a giant inflatable ball, reminiscent of a hamster in a ball, while experiencing thrilling activities in a safe environment.
  • - Mobile Play Spaces: On October 4th, the Tomugiya team will operate a mobile play area, followed by the Hachioji Adventure Playgroup on October 5th. These spaces will offer various materials and tools, inspiring children to think beyond conventional norms and create their own unique play experiences.

LEARN: Discover the Seeds of Talent through Curiosity

  • - Drone Programming Workshop: This pre-registration workshop provides a fun introduction to programming basics using toy drones. By controlling drones, children can enhance their interest in programming.
  • - AR Drawing Activities: Children can experience the magic of seeing their drawings float in the air via augmented reality on tablets. This encourages artistic expression and increases familiarity with digital technology.
  • - Illustration of Dreams: Children will articulate their aspirations, and professional illustrators will turn these concepts into illustrations, helping them visualize their future.
