This prestigious award, named after the beloved Prince Chichibuno, honors individuals in the field of sports medicine and science who have made significant achievements. The aim is not only to celebrate their accomplishments but also to contribute to the further development of sports in Japan.
Awardees of the 28th Award Ceremony
The award categories include:
- - Merit Award: Shizuo Sakamoto, Professor Emeritus at Waseda University.
- - Encouragement Award: Marathon Safety Measures Group, led by Fumihiro Yamazawa, Director of the Marunouchi Headquarters Medical Clinic at Marubeni Corporation and a council member of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations.
