The Launch of the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026

On August 28, 2026, the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026 officially opened its doors in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province in southwestern China. This significant event has quickly become a major platform for technological exchange, industrial collaboration, and transforming innovations within the global big data sector.

The expo’s theme, “Token a New Path to the Value of Data Elements,” encompasses five main thematic sections: computing power infrastructure, data supply, model-based development, security guarantees, and intelligent experiences. Over 300 high-quality exhibitors from various sectors, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data security, and digital applications, both domestic and international, are participating to showcase their advancements and innovations.

In terms of national industrial collaboration, the event has partnered with four prominent industrial parks to hold special trade sessions and business matchmaking events. This initiative aims to effectively connect the early and late stages of the value chain within the industrial resources. Additionally, the expo has collaborated with over 30 foreign companies to conduct a series of cross-border activities that further promote international cooperation, resource exchange, and business expansion in the big data sector.

Guiyang, a permanent host of the China International Big Data Industry Expo, alongside the neighboring Gui'an New Area, has been dedicated to developing the big data industry and establishing a world-class digital industrial cluster. To date, the region boasts 26 large-scale data centers, with a total computing power capacity that exceeds 174 EFLOPS. Impressively, intelligent computing constitutes over 98% of the overall computing capabilities, while the average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of local data centers stands at a notably low 1.19. This reflects exceptional efficiency, along with ecological and low-carbon operational advantages in the development of national digital infrastructure.

The thriving big data cluster in Guiyang has played a crucial role in boosting the revenue of the software and information technology services sector, surpassing 100 billion yuan. This milestone signifies a firm leap towards a robust industrial development phase and establishes a solid foundation for the sustained high-quality progression of China’s digital economy.

As the world becomes increasingly driven by data, events like the China International Big Data Industry Expo serve not only to highlight current innovations but also aim to forge connections that propel the industry into the future. Industry players, policymakers, and educational institutions are encouraged to capitalize on this momentum to foster an environment that nurtures growth and innovation in big data technology. The expo not only underscores the importance of big data in contemporary society but also positions Guiyang as a key player on the global stage for data-driven industries.

Through strategic collaborations and persistent growth, Guiyang is set to maintain its role as a beacon of innovation and development in the vast landscape of big data, setting a high standard for others in the field.
