Dandi Unveils Nationwide At-Home Injection Services for Fertility Care

Dandi Expands Fertility Support Model Nationally

Dandi, a pioneer in consumer-led fertility care, is excited to announce its nationwide rollout of at-home injection services. This service is designed to dramatically improve the experience of women undergoing fertility treatments, as it addresses one of the most challenging aspects of the process: self-administered injections. With a network of skilled fertility nurses available in over 20 major U.S. cities, Dandi is creating a more accessible and supportive environment for women navigating their fertility journeys.

Enhancing Patient Experience

Research indicates that 86% of patients find at-home injections to be the hardest part of their fertility journey. Dandi’s new model steps in to fill a critical gap in this area, providing nursing support during times when clinics are often closed, particularly in the evenings when injections are typically due. With this service, women no longer have to face the anxiety of injection management alone.

Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer, Leyla Bilali, who comes with a rich background as a fertility nurse, shares the impetus behind this expansion. She notes, “We’ve witnessed firsthand how the stress and complexity of self-administered injections can impact treatment success. We’re scaling this essential service nationwide to ensure no woman has to navigate this journey alone.”

At launch, Dandi's team consists of 32 specialized fertility nurses ready to offer a full range of injection-related services including medication unboxing, partner training in injection procedures, and, importantly, the administration of various fertility injections such as those needed for IVF and egg freezing. Moreover, Dandi will provide after-hours support to address urgent needs when clinicians are unavailable.

A Growing Demand for Fertility Support

Dandi's launch comes at a time when the landscape of fertility care is evolving rapidly. A significant 40% of employers now offer fertility benefits, up from just 30% in preceding years. This growing trend underscores the increasing demand for comprehensive fertility support, a need Dandi aims to satisfy with its innovative service model. Jake Kent, the CEO and another co-founder, emphasized the importance of creating robust infrastructure to accommodate this need, ensuring that women receive adequate professional support during the critical moments of their fertility journey.

The medical community is also recognizing the value of these services. Dr. David Reichman, a leading fertility doctor, commented on the anxiety many patients face concerning injection administration. “Dandi's innovative care services are a wonderful addition to clinical goals and can meaningfully transform the way patients receive support through their fertility treatments,” he explained.
