Charichari and Buzz Dream FES 2025: Empowering Youth Through Art
In an inspiring collaboration, Charichari, a pioneering share bicycle service in Fukuoka, has teamed up with local organizations passionate about culture and the arts to support young talents. The initiative coincides with
Buzz Dream FES 2025, an event dedicated to fostering creativity in the community. Charichari aims to strengthen its mission of becoming an integral part of urban mobility by encouraging artistic expression among the youth of Fukuoka.
The couple's ambitious goal is to ignite the imagination of young artists by hosting an art contest themed
“Charichari × Fukuoka.” Starting from May 19, 2025, participants are invited to create works that reflect the vibrant culture and dynamic spirit of Fukuoka. From the submitted artworks, one masterpiece will be selected to be showcased on a special Charichari collaboration bicycle, roaring through the streets of Fukuoka from October to December.
This initiative is not just about art; it's also about building confidence and pride among young creators. Charichari’s vision is to deliver the passion and dreams of these young artists across the city. The winning artwork will be displayed at the Buzz Dream FES 2025 venue, giving recognition to the creative talents of Fukuoka's youth.
About Charichari
Charichari launched in February 2018, aiming to revolutionize urban transportation. In just a few years, it has grown remarkably, serving over
33 million rides across nine cities in Japan. The service promotes easy access to shared bicycles via a user-friendly smartphone app. With prices starting at just 7 yen per minute for basic bicycles and 17 yen for electric assist cycles, Charichari has become a go-to option for both locals and visitors alike.
Charichari’s vision extends far beyond cycling; it aims to uplift the local community by being part of Fukuoka's overall vitality. This partnership with Buzz Dream FES represents a strategic step towards integrating arts and culture into daily interactions, encouraging residents and tourists to explore the city in a new light.
As part of the contest, youth aged 25 and under, including high school and university students, are encouraged to submit their artworks by
August 24, 2025. The selection process will culminate in early September when winners will be notified and their works will be celebrated online.
