Limited Edition Museum Goods Featuring Tettus Ishida's Artwork
The Shizuoka Prefectural Art Museum has launched a special line of museum goods inspired by the artworks of Tettus Ishida (1973-2005), a prominent painter from Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The museum holds 21 of his pieces, and for the first time ever, merchandise based on Ishida’s art is now available for purchase.
A Collection of Creative Merchandise
The collection includes a variety of items: two types of tote bags, two clear files, three types of stickers, and five postcards. Starting from December 20, two new tote bags featuring some of Ishida's most popular works will be added, bringing the total number of items to twelve.
From December 16, the original goods will be available online through the e-commerce site operated by Oak Corporation, the managing company of the museum shop. The tote bags inspired by Ishida's artwork will also hit both online and physical stores simultaneously on December 20, ensuring fans can get their hands on them right away.

Tote Bags: Two Designs
- - “The Man Who Could No Longer Fly” and “Dream of Jellyfish” - both priced at 3,300 yen (tax included).
The tote bags showcase Ishida's representative works, with the former depicting a young man in a suit, blending with dilapidated amusement park rides, while the latter illustrates a man curled up in a bed too small for him, under the transparent bell of a jellyfish. These bags allow admirers to engage with Ishida's creative process, featuring sketches and preliminary drawings as part of their design.
Tote Bag Dimensions: 400mm height x 380mm width, with the handle measuring 555mm.
Clear Files: Capturing Popular Artworks
Two designs are available for 450 yen each, featuring
“The Man Under the Boss's Umbrella” and
“A Meal Like Fuel Supply”. These clear files are ideal for both usage and display, emphasizing the artwork without unnecessary adornment.
The artworks highlight the struggles of contemporary workers, portrayed in whimsical yet poignant scenarios that resonate with many.
Die-Cut Stickers: Simple Yet Impactful
Three designs of die-cut stickers, each priced at 550 yen, are designed in the silhouette of Ishida's famous pieces. They include
“The Man Who Could No Longer Fly,” “Beer Garden Departure,” and
“Izakaya Departure,” effectively enhancing user engagement through everyday items.
Postcards: Share the Art
Five types of postcards, available for 150 yen each, reproduce iconic Ishida works, offering art lovers a way to connect and share his vision.
