Yoshito Hori's New Role in Oman
Yoshito Hori, the CEO of GLOBIS Corporation, has recently been appointed as an international advisor for the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) in Oman. This prestigious position is not only an honor for Hori but also represents a crucial step in strengthening the collaborative relationship between Japan and Oman in leadership and executive education through strategic partnerships. Hori brings with him a wealth of experience in management talent development and international cooperation, which he will leverage to enhance RAM’s executive programs and foster global networks.
The appointment is based on the successful outcomes of a joint program between GLOBIS and RAM planned for 2024. GLOBIS has established the GLOBIS European Hub (GLOBIS Europe BV) situated in Brussels, Belgium. Aiming for further strategic collaboration, GLOBIS Europe and RAM are set to sign a memorandum of understanding at the Omani Embassy in Tokyo in June 2024. As part of this collaboration, GLOBIS Europe will implement the next-generation leadership training program led by RAM known as the “Future Leaders Program” starting in September 2024, where fifty participants from RAM will engage in cross-cultural exchanges and leadership development. This initiative aligns with the shared vision of both institutions to cultivate global leadership.
To further bolster cooperation in the Middle East, Hori is scheduled to visit Oman in October 2024 at RAM's invitation. This visit will allow him to engage in discussions with leaders from both the private and public sectors, focusing on economic development and opportunities for growth and innovation. The RAM President, Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati, will share insights on the importance of driving innovation through strategic partnerships during their discussions. This conversation will include key stakeholders such as H.E. Ibtisam Al Farouji, the Minister of Commerce and Investment Promotion, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Ali Al Sunaidy, head of the Economic Special Zones and Free Zones Authority, H.E. Halima Al-Zari, head of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, and Rashid Al Hashmi, Senior Manager of the Future Fund Oman, leading to dynamic exchanges of ideas.
GLOBIS aims to continue contributing to global leadership development and economic collaboration, especially in the Middle East and around the world, acting as a bridge for leadership insights and growth opportunities.
