ASIA esports EXPO 2026 Announcement Conference
On November 7, 2025, the Aichi-Nagoya esports promotion committee, in collaboration with the Japan esports Association, will host a press conference to unveil details of the much-anticipated ASIA esports EXPO 2026. The event is scheduled for March 21-22, 2026, at the Aichi Sky Expo, a premier venue known for hosting significant events.
The press conference will commence at 16:00 in Room 1 of the Chuunichi Hall & Conference, located in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. This gathering aims to not only inform attendees about the upcoming expo but also announce the selection events for the Japanese representative candidates for the esports competitions scheduled to coincide with the 20th Asian Games. The popularity of esports in the region is set to soar as participants vie for the pinnacle of achievement in Asia.
A notable highlight of the event will be an address from the honorary advisor to the committee, Aichi Prefectural Governor Hideaki Omura, who will share his insights on the importance of esports to the local culture and economy. Additionally, the conference will feature a special guest appearance by Kaede Arano, a member of the popular girl group SKE48 and a representative of the women’s esports team ‘amshy.’ She will provide an encouraging message for aspiring esports players.
The historical impact of the ASIA esports EXPO 2026 is backed by the successful predecessor expo held earlier this year in March, which garnered significant attention and participation. The upcoming event aims to upgrade this success by expanding the reach of the esports culture within Aichi and Nagoya, showcasing the region's commitment to growing this vibrant scene.
Following the press conference, the event will transition into the second segment, the 41st Aichi-Nagoya esports research meeting, designed to foster further interest and share the latest developments in esports. The session promises to be stimulating, with updates and discussions surrounding innovative strategies and recent trends shaping the esports landscape.
