Exciting Launch of the Japan Bridge Stage Project



The Chiyoda Central Culture Exchange Promotion Organization, located in Chiyoda City, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce its first event under the "Japan Bridge Stage Project" on March 29, 2026. The project aims to establish a permanent theater in Nihonbashi, a historical center for traditional Japanese performing arts, as a venue for ongoing performances by leading figures in the traditional arts community, such as Nakamura Shikan. This initiative is not just about reviving Edo culture; it also seeks to invigorate the local economy, ensure the transmission of Japan’s traditional arts, and promote cultural exchange on an international scale, thus solidifying the cultural landmark of Nihonbashi.

The venue for this vibrant occasion will be the EDOCCO STUDIO, situated in Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Hall, located at 2-16-2 Sotokanda, Chiyoda City, Tokyo.

Date and Time


The event will be taking place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, and will feature two performances:
  • - First Performance: Doors open at 11:45 AM, with the performance starting at 12:15 PM and ending at 1:45 PM.
  • - Second Performance: Doors open at 5:45 PM, with the performance starting at 6:15 PM and concluding at 7:45 PM.

Ticket Information


Tickets for general seating are priced at 10,000 yen (including tax) and include a traditional Japanese lunch box, known as Shokado Bento, prepared by Meijiza.

Program Outline


The event will comprise two performances featuring various segments:
  • - A live performance by the Japanese-Western musical unit "Hakui Tennen."
  • - Talk Shows
- First Performance: Featuring Nakamura Shikan and Toubaya Sanemon.
- Second Performance: Featuring Nakamura Sukeroku and Toubaya Sanemon.
  • - Merchandise sales including goods, video products, and autographed photos by the performers.

Tickets can be purchased online through the official website here. The event has a limited capacity of 80 participants, and applications will be accepted from February 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM until March 27, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
