Fusion's 6th Annual Holiday Event: Spreading Joy to Pediatric Cancer Families

On December 19, 2025, Fusion, a healthcare organization based in Omaha, came together with the nonprofit Angels Among Us to celebrate the holiday spirit with families affected by pediatric cancer. This annual event has become a cherished tradition, aimed at delivering joy, emotional support, and a festive atmosphere for these families who have faced significant challenges.

The event was held at Fusion's headquarters in Omaha and featured a delightful array of activities designed to bring smiles to the faces of both children and adults. Families were welcomed with warm greetings, and the highlight of the evening included a chance for kids to take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. With a delicious dinner, fun holiday crafts, and a bright atmosphere, the evening felt magical.

As the night progressed, parents were particularly touched when they received special bags filled with presents, meant for their children to open on Christmas morning.

Fusion's Commitment to Community Support

The planning for this event took place over several months. Fusion employees dedicated their time and resources, raising an impressive $14,500 to provide gifts for over 130 children. This act of generosity is a testament to the caring spirit within the Fusion team.

Employee Engagement Manager, Danielle Kauffman, reflected on the significance of the event, stating, "I’m so proud of our team and the work they put into making this night special for these amazing kids. We have witnessed Angels Among Us help Fusion families affected by pediatric cancer, and we know how much the families they support deserve a night of holiday magic."

Angels Among Us itself began as a grassroots initiative and has expanded to offer financial and emotional support to almost all pediatric cancer patients receiving treatment in Nebraska. In 2025 alone, the organization provided over $600,000 in assistance, enabling them to serve more than 100 families.
