This strategic move aims to bolster the institute's commitment to promoting moral behavior and principled decision-making across various sectors. Among the notable additions to the board are Jon Huntsman, Vice Chair of Mastercard, retired General Dave Goldfein, Dr. Wayne A.I. Frederick of Howard University, COO Devika Bulchandani, and senior advisor Amy Rosen.
The need for moral leadership is underscored by a recent report from The HOW Institute which highlights an alarming gap between the demand for such leadership and its supply. The report reveals that an overwhelming 95% of employees express the necessity for moral leadership, a stark increase from 82% in 2020. Despite this growing urgency, only a meager 9% of CEOs and 11% of managers demonstrate behaviors associated with moral leadership, emphasizing the critical need for transformation in leadership styles across organizations.
