CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, has entered into a groundbreaking collaboration with Novartis Biomedical Research to enhance reaction data accessibility and support AI-driven research. This partnership combines unique data curation expertise with advanced scientific technologies to provide Novartis researchers with integrated and searchable access to both their experimental reaction data and over 160 million curated reaction records from the esteemed CAS Content Collection™.

The Value of Extensive Reaction Data

In the realm of scientific research, reaction data is invaluable. However, this information often resides in various formats and systems such as electronic lab notebooks, reports, shared network drives, and partner platforms. By consolidating these disparate sources, researchers can more efficiently analyze and extract meaningful insights from reaction data across their entire research organization.

Central to this collaboration is the application of CAS’s data transformation services through the CAS Intelligence HubSM. This platform will organize and standardize Novartis’s extensive collection of experimental reaction data, making it more accessible and useful for computational research, machine learning applications, and artificial intelligence.
