New Project to Enhance Employment Support Using Assistive Devices for Persons with Disabilities
Launch of Employment Support Project Utilizing Assistive Devices
Seed Planning Co., Ltd., based in Bunkyo, Tokyo, in collaboration with the Techno Aid Association, is embarking on a new project aimed at enhancing employment support for individuals with disabilities by employing assistive devices. Funded by a grant from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, this project seeks to promote the effective use of these devices in real-world employment settings.
Background and Purpose of the Project
In recent years, the needs of individuals with disabilities have become increasingly diverse and complex. Selecting and implementing optimal assistive devices tailored to individual characteristics remains a significant challenge. Recognizing this situation, the project aims to provide support for the development and improvement of devices that aid in general employment. Additionally, the initiative intends to raise awareness regarding the importance of utilizing assistive devices in the workplace.
To achieve this, the project invites manufacturers of assistive devices, companies promoting the employment of individuals with disabilities, as well as intermediary professionals, to form teams to engage in practical evaluations of these devices in actual employment scenarios. The selected teams will receive a partial subsidy covering the costs associated with the implementation of this initiative.
Call for Evaluation Teams
The project is currently seeking applications for evaluation teams, specifically aiming at those involved in the manufacturing and support of assistive devices. The evaluated teams will actively use the devices and assess their effectiveness and areas for improvement.
To facilitate this, there will be informational sessions held in Osaka, Fukuoka, and Tokyo to explain the project's contents and the details of the application process. These sessions will cover evaluation criteria, and we encourage anyone interested to apply.

Cost
Participation is free of charge.
Evaluation and Subsidy Details
Supported by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and in collaboration with the Techno Aid Association, this initiative will subsidize part of the costs incurred during the demonstration of assistive devices.
Participants who have yet to form teams are warmly welcomed to join. The project encourages teamwork among manufacturers, intermediaries, and organizations employing individuals with disabilities. During the informational sessions, participants seeking to form teams will have opportunities to connect and collaborate.
