TriNet Expands to Dunwoody with 750 New Jobs
Governor Brian P. Kemp announced a significant development for the Dunwoody area, revealing that TriNet will be establishing a new corporate center in the region. This decision is expected to lead to the creation of
750 new jobs over the next five years, marking a substantial investment of approximately
$15.4 million in DeKalb County.
TriNet, a well-known provider of comprehensive HR solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, aims to enhance its presence in the metro Atlanta area, which has developed a vibrant ecosystem for job creators. Governor Kemp emphasized the importance of this project, noting that it reflects Georgia's status as the
top state for business. He remarked, “TriNet’s services not only strengthen our local economy but also help foster an environment conducive to job creation.”
In response to this expansion, Mike Simonds, TriNet’s President and CEO, expressed his excitement about becoming part of the Dunwoody business community. He indicated that the new office would serve as a hub for collaboration, training, and development for TriNet employees from across the country. “We look forward to partnering with local universities and engaging with the thriving ecosystem of small businesses in the area.”
The new facility will span approximately
150,000 square feet, and TriNet is set to start hiring for various roles immediately, including positions in technology, HR consulting, client management, and sales. This recruitment drive aims to expand their regional customer base while creating meaningful employment opportunities for residents of the area. She noted that Dunwoody offers an ideal environment with access to a talented workforce alongside a vibrant setting filled with quality dining, shopping, and entertainment options. “TriNet’s investment will bring hundreds of new jobs to our community, and we are proud to welcome them here,” she stated.
The project has broader implications for DeKalb County as well. Lorraine Cochran-Johnson, CEO of DeKalb County, highlighted that the addition of 750 jobs signifies invaluable opportunities for local residents and reinforces the county’s position as an attractive destination for corporate growth and innovation. She praised TriNet’s investment as a positive development for the community’s economy and workforce.
Katie Kirkpatrick, President and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, pointed out that TriNet’s establishment in the region will establish new connections with a talent pool emerging from local universities. She stated, “TriNet’s investment will not only create jobs but also drive innovation and strengthen our economy.”
This project was advanced through collaborative efforts involving local agencies, including the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the City of Dunwoody, which assisted in the overall project development.
As GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson noted, the decision by TriNet to locate in Georgia reflects the increasing confidence in the state as a center for innovation and business growth.
