ONE TAP SPORTS Partners with Kanoya Sports University for Athlete Support Initiative

ONE TAP SPORTS and Kanoya University Join Forces for Athlete Development

Introduction
In an exciting collaboration, Euphoria Co., Ltd., the company behind the athlete data management system One Tap Sports, has launched a partnership project with Kanoya University of Health and Sports. This initiative aims to support athletes in injury prevention and enhancing performance while leveraging technology promoted by Japan's Sports Agency through the "Sustainable International Competitive Enhancement Plan."

Background of the Project
For athletes and teams, daily conditioning and training are essential for improving competitive strength. However, determining the optimal training regimen often relies on individual experiences rather than objective metrics, which has posed challenges for years. The need for a scientific approach using data has elevated in importance, and this project aims to provide a solution.
One Tap Sports is a widely utilized data management platform that supports a range of athletes, from national representatives and professionals to students, by visualizing their daily conditions, training routines, and injury data.

Kanoya University, as Japan's only national sports university, has been committed to advancing research and education in sports and health sciences. Since 2017, the university has been using One Tap Sports across its operations. This partnership will enhance previous efforts by integrating cutting-edge technology with academic research to maximize data utility.

Implementation Details
The project will initially target the university’s sports clubs, focusing on utilizing data for improving performance and preventing injuries.
Athletes will input subjective wellness data daily, and this information, along with data from sports tech devices, will be stored in One Tap Sports. Each team will have access to a customized dashboard for data visualization. Starting this year, new surveys and analyses on injuries and trauma will also commence, aiming to identify types, trends, and preventive measures. Euphoria’s data scientists will collaborate with university researchers to conduct detailed analyses of the correlation between collected conditioning data and athletic performance.

Future of Data and AI Integration
Looking ahead, the project plans to develop performance prediction algorithms that will incorporate theories such as the “Fitness Fatigue Theory” and the “ACWR” (Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio) to help predict injury risks. This innovation aims to create automatically optimized training plans that are not solely reliant on coaches' experiences, ultimately allowing athletes to achieve peak performance.

By establishing effective performance prediction algorithms, the project will enable automatic support for optimizing training plans, strategizing for competitions, and managing injury risks—ensuring that every athlete can realize and maximize their potential regardless of the variations in coaches' experiences and skills. Through this initiative, Japan aims to significantly contribute to fostering a sustainable environment for enhancing international athletic performance.
