The 7th Aeon Delight Technology Contest Focusing on Equipment Safety and Efficiency

The 7th Aeon Delight Technology Contest: Innovation in Safety

On November 17, 2025, Aeon Delight Inc., based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, held its 7th annual Technology Contest focused on equipment safety at its training facility, Aeon Delight Academy Nagahama in Shiga Prefecture. This contest has been an integral part of the company’s continuous effort since 2019 to enhance technical skills and on-site capabilities in their core businesses of equipment management, security, and cleaning.

This year’s contest revolved around the theme of "Emergency Response through Remote Instruction." The objective was to evaluate competing teams on their abilities to efficiently and safely investigate power outages and perform power restoration remotely. This theme highlights the growing necessity for innovative solutions due to increasing demands in emergency response and disaster management, which is becoming more vital in today’s evolving operational landscape.

Eleven teams from eight different regional offices along with their group companies, including Environmental Maintenance, Hakuseisya, and Ask Maintenance, participated in this year’s event. Each team, consisting of two members including electrical chief engineers, utilized their frontline knowledge and skills to compete with precision and speed in emergency response scenarios.

Among the participating teams, the Tohoku team was awarded the Grand Prize. They excelled in utilizing their knowledge of related equipment to ensure safety for both operators and facilities. Their adept use of smartphones enabled them to conduct rapid and precise restoration work, and their thorough explanations and proposals to clients were particularly praised.

He emphasized appreciation for the teams' awareness of the risks involved, showcasing their attention to safety. The composed and detailed explanations provided to facility stakeholders made a lasting impression.
