Harvey Industries Pioneers Woodworking Innovation and Community Celebration

Harvey Industries International has once again showcased its commitment to innovating the woodworking industry by launching cutting-edge tools aimed at enhancing both the shop experience and safety. During the recent International Woodworking Fair held in Atlanta, the company introduced two new machines for sale along with two exciting concepts while also celebrating a special day dedicated to woodworking craftsmanship, which has been formally recognized by the city of Montclair, California.

Innovating the Workshop

One of the highlights of Harvey's unveiling at the IWF 2026 was the launch of the SNIPER SD-20, an intelligent drill press that brings forth significant advancements in woodshop technology. As the last remaining analog holdout, the SNIPER SD-20 is now equipped with a software-guided system, which enhances its capabilities with a Proactive Safety Protection System. This tool promises precision targeting with repeatable workflows, achieving near-CNC accuracy for tasks such as shelf-pin drilling and joinery.

Additionally, Harvey unveiled the BABY GYRO AIR G-200H, a powerful 2-in-1 mobile vacuum and blower. With a performance capacity of 550 Air Watts, it efficiently surpasses most conventional shop vacuums, typically rated between 150–300 Air Watts. The G-200H features advanced filtration with up to 99.7% Gyro Air pre-filter separation, a robust 3 HP brushless DC motor, and a user-friendly interface that includes a 7-inch touchscreen and a wearable remote.

Safety First: The D-1 Dream Saw

Among the concepts showcased was the D-1 Dream Saw, a game-changer in woodworking safety. After ten years of dedicated development, this saw introduces an innovative non-contact hand detection system. This groundbreaking technology ensures that the blade retracts before making contact with skin, rendering traditional safety cartridges obsolete. The D-1 is designed for quiet operation with a powerful 4 HP PMSM motor and includes features such as motorized adjustments, a bidirectional tilting arbor, and a built-in sliding table that enhances usability.

Also announced was the E-Lift Router Lift, designed to bring motorized, repeatable height adjustment to the router table, integrating seamlessly with Harvey's COMPASS system to improve precision and workflow.

Harvey’s innovations extend beyond the products it offers. In a significant community initiative, the company recently established Montclair Woodworking Craftsmanship Day. This day, officially recognized by the city, is set to become an annual celebration that highlights the artistry and skill involved in woodworking.
