Taco Bell Foundation Launches $13 Million Live Más Scholarship Program for Young Dreamers

Taco Bell Foundation Launches Live Más Scholarship Program

The Taco Bell Foundation has officially opened applications for its 12th annual Live Más Scholarship, a program designed to empower young individuals with financial support for their educational pursuits. With over $13 million available, this initiative aims to assist Taco Bell fans and Team Members aged 16 to 26 in achieving their dreams and aspirations.

Scholarship Details

The Live Más Scholarship offers individual awards ranging from $5,000 to $25,000, without the need for GPA or standardized test scores, making it accessible to a broader range of students. Instead of traditional applications, candidates are encouraged to submit a two-minute video or a short essay (250 to 500 words) explaining their passions, dreams, and how they plan to utilize their education to make a difference.

The program has been a significant source of support for aspiring scholars like Jose Q., a Taco Bell Team Member from Los Angeles who received a surprising $25,000 scholarship from Taco Bell CEO Sean Tresvant during a company event. With financial barriers previously hindering his education, this scholarship revitalized Jose’s goal of obtaining a degree in computer engineering and business, illustrating the life-changing potential of the Live Más Scholarship.

A Platform for Creativity and Networking

The impact of the Live Más Scholarship extends beyond financial assistance. Jamie M., a four-time scholarship recipient, exemplifies how this program encourages creativity and community involvement. She is currently collaborating with renowned fashion designer Willy Chavarria to create a custom Taco Bell crewneck sweatshirt, which highlights the Foundation's commitment to nurturing talent and providing avenues for personal expression through fashion. Jamie's initiative will be showcased during the Foundation's Giving Tuesday efforts this December, further demonstrating how the scholarship supports diverse pathways for young creators.

Morgan Tabor, Executive Director of the Taco Bell Foundation, stated, “To Live Más is to believe that your dreams are worth pursuing and that your path to success is yours to define.” This philosophy resonates deeply with the scholarship's structure, which centers on individual passion and determination, helping students realize their potential while building a supportive community around them.

Expanding Opportunities for Future Generations

Since its inception in 2015, the Live Más Scholarship has awarded over $78 million to thousands of Taco Bell fans and team members across all states. This initiative not only fosters educational advancement but also grants renewal opportunities for scholars, providing continued support for their evolving educational journeys. In 2025, more than 95% of eligible scholars who sought renewal received further financial backing, underscoring the program's dedication to sustaining growth and development among its participants.

The application window for the 2026 Live Más Scholarship is open until January 5, 2027, with announcement of recipients scheduled for Spring 2027. Interested candidates can find detailed information, including eligibility criteria and application resources, at the Taco Bell Foundation’s official website.
