ChatGPT Plus/Pro emerged as the leading service with a usage rate of 62.5%. Following it,
Gemini Advanced garnered 45.54%,
Claude Pro/Max attracted 28.57%, and
Notion AI was used by 26.79%. The data suggests a diverse application of paid AI services, ranging from search and chat functions to document creation and productivity enhancements.
3. Willingness to Pay
Inquiring further into respondents' readiness to pay for AI services, the results indicated that 38.59% were comfortable with a monthly fee of
0 yen (free tier only). However, a compelling 61.41% expressed willingness to pay some amount, with the most common range being
2,001-5,000 yen, supported by 15.76% of respondents. Notably, among the 86 individuals currently utilizing paid AI services, a staggering 80.2% were amenable to paying
1,001 yen or more, suggesting that those with prior purchasing experience are comfortable with higher price ranges.
4. Potential for Subscription Conversion
Among the 47 respondents who identified as using AI but had never paid for it, a striking
53.2% indicated a willingness to pay for AI services in some form. This potential customer segment represents an opportunity for service providers to convert interest into actual subscriptions by clearly demonstrating value and benefits.
