ICP DAS-BMP Showcases Cutting-Edge TPU at WHX Dubai 2026
ICP DAS-BMP, a leading Taiwanese manufacturer of medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), has proudly announced its participation in WHX Dubai 2026, scheduled from February 9 to 12 at the Dubai Exhibition Center. This event, previously known as Arab Health, is a prominent gathering for medical professionals and innovators worldwide. Attendees can visit ICP DAS-BMP at booth S7C117.
At the forefront of this year's exhibition are two groundbreaking TPU innovations specifically designed to address critical needs in medical device manufacturing: the Low Migration Series and the Low Friction Series.
Low Migration TPU Series
The Arothane™ ARP-B20 from ICP DAS-BMP's Low Migration Series is designed to comply with ISO 10993 standards, making it suitable for implants lasting up to 90 days. One of the key advantages of this TPU is its ability to significantly minimize the migration of additives during processing. This ensures that catheters maintain smooth surfaces throughout their lifespan. Moreover, it provides versatile color options that enable flexible and customized designs to meet diverse medical requirements.
Low Friction TPU Series
On the other hand, the Low Friction TPU Series is characterized by an inherently smooth surface, eliminating the need for additional coatings or post-processing treatments. Made entirely from TPU and free of PFAS and plasticizers, this series promises long-lasting stability without surface exudation or additive migration. Its low friction properties are particularly advantageous for applications requiring smooth insertion, such as nasogastric tubes equipped with guides, while ensuring safety and performance during storage and use.
In addition, ICP DAS-BMP is set to showcase a wide array of TPU options catering to various medical applications. The ARP, ALP, and ALC series are compatible with devices classified according to the duration of contact—limited (under 24 hours), prolonged (24 hours to 30 days), and long-term (over 30 days)—based on ISO 10993-1 standards. For radiopaque applications, the ARP-B20 and ALC-B40 series (suitable for 90-day implantation) and ARP-W/WG (containing 40-60% tungsten) will provide enhanced visibility for invasive or implantable devices.
The Engineering Arothane™ EARP series, recognized for its clarity and mechanical strength, is ideal for orthodontic components, Luer-Lock connectors, and other precision medical devices.
Through these innovative materials, ICP DAS-BMP underscores its commitment to developing TPU solutions that are not only safer and more reliable but also versatile, assisting medical device manufacturers in meeting the evolving demands of healthcare.
