Event Details
The leisure-rich
Sakakawa Valentine Meeting 2026 is scheduled for February 7, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the
Chiero e Mare restaurant located at 3-22-1 Kamezawa, Sumida, Tokyo. The seating is limited to ten people, and participation is free, although attendees will be responsible for their own beverage costs. The event itinerary includes discussions about life in Sakakawa Village, tastings of local ingredients from Sakakawa, Shinjo, and Mogami regions, and one-on-one consultations regarding relocation and community engagement opportunities.
Culinary Delights by a Local Chef
One of the highlights of the event is the culinary presentation by Chef
Yaguchi, the head chef from Sakakawa Village. He will showcase dishes and desserts made with fresh ingredients sourced from the Sakakawa, Shinjo, and Mogami areas. Guests will have the unique experience of savoring these flavors while imagining a lifestyle surrounded by the beautiful natural landscape of Sakakawa Village.
Promoting Local Products Through E-commerce
In addition to supporting the seminar, TONICHI has entered a comprehensive partnership agreement with Sakakawa Village to enhance regional revitalization efforts. Starting in 2024, they will sell local specialties through their e-commerce site,
Rakuten Market T-BOX, including the popular “Revitalization Support Set” priced at 3,800 yen (tax and shipping included). This not only enables customers to enjoy the best of what Sakakawa has to offer but also helps support the community's growth.
The
T-Roke website features a dedicated page for Sakakawa Village, providing information about filming locations, local attractions, specialties, and cultural heritage. This initiative aims to create opportunities for people to learn more about Sakakawa Village, engage with its unique offerings, and plan visits.
Sakakawa Village is renowned as one of Japan's top mushroom-producing areas. With this seminar and associated efforts, TONICHI seeks to inspire curiosity, involvement, and visits by showcasing the region’s richness. The Sakakawa Valentine Meeting continues the company's commitment to fostering demographic dynamics in rural Japan, striving for sustained regional activation through strong partnerships with local governments and communities.
Looking Ahead
As part of its long-term vision, TONICHI is dedicated to collaborating with municipalities and regional stakeholders to create communities where individuals from both urban and rural backgrounds can thrive together. With continued support and strategy implementation, the company aims to contribute to a vibrant and engaging rural future, attracting new residents and bolstering local economies.
